JOB SEARCH RESOURCES

At our centre, all the necessary tools to streamline your job search are free and accessible including:

  • computer workstations
  • internet access
  • public telephones
  • fax and scanning services
  • photocopier

SKILLS AND TRAINING

Need to build your skill set and gain hands-on experience? We have financial support for eligible clients for short-term and long-term training programs. These are depending on your needs and the skills you require.
Staff will help you determine the workshops or training that will be most helpful to you.

PERSONAL EMPLOYMENT PLANNING

If you need extra help getting started, our Case Managers are here for you and will help you build your personal employment plan to identify what you’ll need to get job-ready. This service is available to unemployed individuals or if you work less than 20 hours per week (under-employed).

WE’RE HERE TO HELP

No matter what your level of work experience or education, if you’re unemployed your local WorkBC Centre is here to help you. We have the services and resources you need to start and succeed in your
job search including:

    Assistance with job searches
  • Employment counselling and support
  • Interview Prep
  • Assistive technology and devices
  • Work experience placements
  • Self Employment
  • Job coaching

WAGE SUBSIDY PROGRAM

WorkBC Wage Subsidy program allows employers to re-hire laid-off employees, hire new employees and connect with WorkBC clients looking for work experience and job opportunities.

Everyone’s employment needs are different. We cater to them all with inclusive services for immigrants,
youth, people with disabilities, Indigenous Peoples, Francophones or any British Columbians who need
assistance finding work. If you are having trouble finding work because you live in a remote area; or if you have a disability, language or cultural barrier; or for any other reason, your local WorkBC Employment Services Centre will provide alternative service arrangements that can help you.
